Christina Maria Aguilera attended Marshall Middle School in Wexford, Pennsylvania. In 1999, she completed her graduation from North Allegheny High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania.
Christina began performing in school talent shows, when she was 6 years old. At the age of eight, she appeared on the nationally syndicated "Star Search". When she was ten years old, she sang the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
At the age of 12, Christina Aguilera joined the star cast of "The New Mickey Mouse Club", appearing on the Orlando based show. On March 15, 1990, she appeared on Star Search but she failed win. In 1993 she joined The New Mickey Mouse Club and her breakthrough came.
Her most important musical influences are Julie Andrews, Whitney Houston, Etta James and Billie Holiday. She has two Papillion dogs named Chewy and Stinky.

Christina Aguilera is #1 on Maxim's Hot 100 of 2003 and the host of MTV's 2003 Europe Music Awards. She was nominated for the 2004 Echo Awards Best International Female.
Throughout the career, Aguilera has been involved with certain charities. Aguilera contributes in the fight against AIDS. She signed a letter from PETA to the South Korean government asking that the country stop its alleged "abuse of dogs and cats killed for food". Aguilera also made major contributions to the Women's Center & Shelter Of Greater Pittsburgh.
